Bridgewater Elementary School entered the Farm to School Program in Fall 2009 with a grant through the Ottaquechee Community Partnership.

Tapping maple trees and pressing apples in the schoolyard.
In our cafeteria we have a compost table with square buckets inserted in it where students dump their food scraps. After lunch, they carry out the bucket and dump the food scraps into the compost pile. The pile is made up of food scraps, straw and sawdust. Eventually the compost will go into our garden to make more food.
