Cedar Circle Farm

Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center is a flower and certified organic vegetable and berry farm located off U.S. Route 5, along the Connecticut River, in East Thetford, Vermont. We have 40 acres in cultivation plus 25,000 sq.ft. under cover in hoop houses. There is a farmstand and coffeehouse on the farm.

Education Programs

We have a variety of classes, workshops, and presentations on the farm as well as celebrations, tastings, and festivals throughout the growing season from May – October. Visit our website for details.

To arrange a farm tour, or on-farm educational activities for pre-K through 12 classes, scout groups or youth programs, email Cat Buxton at cat@cedarcirclefarm.org

Horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides are available by reservation year-round.

Farm-to-School Program

In 2007, in an effort to integrate more garden-derived and local foods into its cafeteria, the Thetford Vermont Elementary School put in a school garden, and have integrated the garden activities and farm visits into the curriculum. CCF Education Program coordinator Cat Buxton helps the school children plant their gardens starting with seeds in the classroom . Throughout summer she maintains the garden with the help of summer school students and community volunteers. In fall the garden is host to learning activities and then Cat comes to help the students harvest and put the gardens to bed.

The high school received both planning and implementation grant to create a Farm to School Program and Cat is helping to coordinate that effort.

Over a 1000 students pre-K through University level enjoy Cedar Circle Farm tours and activities  throughout the year.
